SHIPPING

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship to New Zealand and Australia. We've kept our shipping footprint intentional for now, shorter distances mean faster delivery times and minimised emissions.

That said, we're actively working on sourcing fulfilment partners in other regions so that every order can ship from the closest possible location to you. Less distance means less impact.

If you're based outside of NZ or Australia, feel free to reach out at hello@wearyourpockets.com, we'll do our best to work something out.

How long does shipping take?

Please allow up to 2 business days for us to process and dispatch your order. Once dispatched, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details so you can follow your order along the way!

New Zealand
Major cities and towns: up to 3 business days once dispatched.
Rural addresses: up to 5 business days once dispatched.

Australia
Between 3–10 business days once dispatched.

Please double check that your name, delivery address and email address are correct at checkout, we want your order to reach you without a hitch.

How much does shipping cost?

Free. Always.

Shipping is on us for every order, everywhere. No minimum spend, no surprises at checkout.

Where does my order ship from?

All orders are currently dispatched from our studio in Auckland, New Zealand.

For our friends outside of Australia and New Zealand, we're working on fulfilment partners in other regions so that your order can ship from closer to you for faster delivery times and reduced emissions. Stay tuned.

PAYMENT

Are duties and taxes included at checkout?

For New Zealand and Australian orders, no additional duties or taxes are applied, what you see at checkout is what you pay.

For future international orders, applicable duties and taxes will be displayed transparently at checkout before you complete your purchase. Any charges will be the responsibility of the customer upon delivery.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept credit and debit card, Shop Pay, PayPal, Google Pay, and Afterpay (because treating yourself shouldn't come with a guilt spiral).

RETURNS, EXCHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

Can I cancel my order?

If you need to cancel, reach out to us at hello@wearyourpockets.com as soon as possible. If your order hasn't been dispatched yet, we'll cancel it and issue a full refund.

If your order is already on its way, sit tight and request a return once it arrives. We offer one free exchange per order. Simply cover the shipping cost to send the original bag back to our studio, and once we've received and confirmed it's in its original condition, we'll cover the shipping on your new choice. Easy.

What is your return policy?

We offer a 30-day window from delivery to request a return or exchange, because finding the right bag should feel easy, not stressful.

Change of mind returns
If it's not quite right, we'll issue a full refund provided the bag is unused, in its original condition, with tags attached and tucked in its dust bag. Return shipping is on you, we recommend a tracked service, as we can't process refunds for bags lost in transit. Since we covered the shipping to get it to you, return shipping is the only cost you'll bear!

One free exchange
Found another POCKETS style you love more? You cover the shipping back to our studio, and once we've confirmed the bag is in original condition, we'll cover the shipping on your new choice. Exchanges can be made for any style of equal or greater value. If your new choice is higher in value, you'll simply pay the difference at the time of exchange. If you'd like to exchange for a style of lower value, we'd recommend returning your original bag for a full refund and placing a new order for your preferred style.

A few important notes
All return and exchange requests must be lodged within 30 days of delivery. After this point all sales are final. Items purchased on sale or with a discount code are final sale and eligible for store credit only, unless deemed faulty.

How do I make a return?

To start a return or exchange, email hello@wearyourpockets.com with "Return" or "Exchange" in the subject line, your order number, the reason for your return and 3-4 photos of the bag.

We'll get back to you as soon as possible.

How long does a refund take?

Once we've received, inspected and approved your return, we'll send you a confirmation email letting you know your refund is on its way. From that point, please allow up to 15 business days for the refund to appear in your account. Processing times vary depending on your card issuer and bank, which is unfortunately outside of our control.

If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved and you still haven't seen it, please reach out to us at hello@wearyourpockets.com, we'll do everything we can to help sort it out.

My bag arrived damaged or faulty, what should I do?

We're really sorry to hear that, that's not the experience we want for you.

In the unlikely event that your bag arrives damaged or faulty, please email us at hello@wearyourpockets.com within 48 hours of delivery with "Fault" or "Damaged" in the subject line, your order number, and 3-4 photos clearly showing the issue. We'll assess it promptly and make it right, either a full refund or a brand new replacement, plus a prepaid return label so you're not out of pocket.

A couple of things worth noting, manufacturing faults cover failures in stitching, zips or hardware. Natural leather markings such as scars or grain variations are not considered faults, they're the beautiful proof of genuine leather and unique to every hide.

What materials do you use?

All POCKETS bags are crafted from genuine second layer cowhide leather, incredibly soft straight out of the box, and only getting better with time. It's the kind of leather that moulds to your life, developing a natural patina that's completely unique to you and how you wear it.

Hardware is stainless steel throughout, built to last and resistant to tarnishing.

How and where are the bags made?

Our bags are produced in Guangzhou, China. One of the world's most respected manufacturing cities, quietly behind some of the finest leather goods you've ever held. The craft coming out of Guangzhou right now is genuinely world-class, and we're proud to be part of that. Conceived in NZ. Built to a standard that speaks for itself.

How do I care for my leather bag?

Leather is a natural material. It's meant to be lived in, not preserved behind glass.

Our genuine cowhide leather is incredibly soft and will only get better with time, telling the story of everywhere it's been.

Wipe down with a soft dry cloth after use if you want to preserve its shine. If it gets wet, pat dry and let it air naturally away from direct heat. A leather conditioner every few months keeps it supple and happy. Store stuffed with tissue paper if you want it to hold its shape, and we recommend keeping it in its dust bag when not in use. Avoid prolonged sun exposure and keep away from harsh chemicals. Some scratches and wear will develop over time, it's all character.

Which bag is best for uni students or work?

Our go-to recommendation is the Haven, it's our biggest bag and built for exactly this. Laptops, notebooks, a water bottle, everything you need for the day. It fits up to a 16" MacBook Pro and has the structure to carry it all without the bulk.

The Belt bag is also a solid option for work if you're travelling a little lighter. It fits up to a 14" MacBook Pro and has a sleeker, more structured silhouette for that reason.
